JAKARTA – Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Rendhika D Harsono, is very sorry for the passing of Haringga Sirila (23). Haringga is one of the supporters of the Kemayoran Tigers who lost their lives after being beaten by a group of Bobotoh people ahead of the Persib versus Persija Jakarta match at the Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA), Sunday (9/23/2018).

"We (DKI DPRD) convey deep condolences and regret what happened," said Rendhika in an official statement received by SINDOnews, Tuesday (09/25/2018).

Rendhika also hopes that all parties can refrain from inaccurate information. This is for the sake of not causing new noise.

"I appeal to both parties to apply sportsmanship and adulthood in responding to events in the field. We must be able to demonstrate the behavior of supporters who uphold sportsmanship," explained Rendhika.

Nevertheless, Rendhika admitted his disappointment with the actions of Persib supporters who ganged up on Haringga to death. Plus, this has damaged the morale of the young generation in maintaining the integrity of this nation. Young people, should be examples of potential future successors.

"Do not continue this debate. We are correcting the moral education system in Indonesia in order to safeguard the younger generation so as not to be damaged morally and intolerantly," concluded Rendhika.

It is known that Haringga was killed by Bobotoh at the Bandung Ocean Fire Stadium ahead of the match between Persib Bandung vs Persija Jakarta which was held at the stadium.

After being taken from Sartika Asih Hospital, Bandung, West Java, Haringga's body was immediately buried in his parents' hometown in Jatibarang, Indramayu, West Java, yesterday.

The police themselves have set eight suspects. The police themselves are still looking for and examining other perpetrators.

The eight actors who have been detained and named as suspects include Goni Abdulrahman (20), Aditya Anggara (19), Dadang Supriatna (19), Budiman (41), Cepi (20), Joko Susilo (32), SM (17) and DFA (16). They played a role in the beating action.
